Speaking at the ‘Sportathon’ programme held at Dafne Asiatic School in Rajamahendravaram on Sunday, Venu Bhagawan said that sports would helps students improving their physical stamina. He advised parents to give a free hand to their children in choosing their career path. Parents should not exert pressure on their children would only result in demotivating students, he noted.
Rajamahendravaram MLA, Dr Akula Satyannarayana who was present at the programme said that sports are an integral part of education and called on education institutions to give equal priority to sports education.
Noted cardiologist Guduri Srinivas said that sports would help students in easing off psychological pressure. The school’s chairman Tambabathula Sridhar said that sports are included in the school syllabus.
