ailways to provide baby food at stations

HYDERABAD: In a move that will help mothers who are travelling, Indian railways has launched a  facility to provide baby food at stations. Under the new initiative called ‘Janani Sewa’, hot milk, hot water and baby food items would be made available at all important stations.
The decision to introduce this facility was taken after a mother last year tweeted to the Union railway minister that due to a delayed train service she was facing a lot of problems feeding her child as she was unable to find milk on the long distance train.
Taking a note of her problem, the railway minister responded quickly and instantly arranged to serve hot milk to her baby at the next station itself. The South Central Railway introduced Janani Sewa outlets at 53 important Railway stations all over the zone.
Hot milk, hot water and baby food items are made available at 6 stations on Secunderabad Division (Secunderabad, Hyderabad, Kazipet, Warangal, Khammam and Vikarabad), six stations on Hyderabad Division (Kacheguda, Kurnool, Gadwal, Mahbubnagar, Kamareddy and Nizamabad).
Eight stations on Guntur Division (Nandyal, Diguvametta, Guntur, Nalgonda, Nadikudi, Cumbum, Markapuram and Miryalaguda); 14 stations on Vijayawada Division (Vijayawada, Gudur, Nellore, Ongole, Tenali, Eluru, Nidadavolu, Rajahmundry, Anakapalli, Gudivada, Tanuku, Bhimavaram, Tuni and  Narsapur).
