The depleting water level in the Godavari at Sri Laxminarasimha Swamy Devasthanam in Dharmapuri, the main venue of the launch of Godavari Pushkaralu, has many worried. But Sripada Yellampalli project at Koti Lingala temple shrine has come to the rescue of the temple authorities as its backwaters can be used to make pilgrims take a holy dip during the mega event.
With the availability of ample water, the temple authorities are expecting a surge in pilgrim turnout at the Koti Lingala temple and are making all arrangements to tackle the rush.
So far, two pushkar ghats have been constructed at the shrine. The main road that leads to the temple from Velgatoor is being repaired. Also, 200 temporary toilets are being constructed while four spots for parking has been allotted on the temple outskirts. One can reach Kotil Lingala shrine by the Karimnagar to Luxettipet road by making a right turn at Velgatoor .
