Eluru (West Godavari): Irrigation Minister Devineni Umamaheswara Rao inspected works of the Polavaram project right canal and Tadipudi lift irrigation scheme on Sunday. The canal situated between Devarapalli and Gundugolanu. The Minister went round the Thammileru bunds in Janampet, Vijayarayi and Mundur villages of Pedavegi mandal.
During his interaction, people pleaded for constructing a bridge over Thammileru for meeting the needs of people in Krishna and West Godavari districts. Later Rao left for a tour of Krishna district via Bhogapuram and Musunuru.
On Saturday evening he had inspected the works of the Polavaram project and Pattiseema lift irrigation scheme.Government Chief Whip Chintamaneni Prabhakar Rao, Eluru MP Maganti Babu, Engineer-in-Chief M Venkateswara Rao, Irrigation SE Ramesh Babu accompanied the Minister.
