See Telangana state Entry tax on AP vehicles from today night. Telangana transport department will  collect  the  tax  from all vehicles  entering Telangana from Andhrapradesh from tonight.Vehicles including goods carriers, Private transport vehicles, Cabs, Auto rickshaws will have to pay the tax  from April 1,2015.  80% of  private  buses have been cancelled due to the  imposition of  tax system.

However,  Kesineni travels Founder, Vijaywada MP Kesineni Nani (Srinivas Kesineni) said  Kesineni travels will continue with ticket bookings and they will not  cancel the buses.

The imposition of tax system will increase bus fares from Vijayawada to Hyderabad  Rs 600 to Rs 1,000. Transport lorries and  vans have  to pay an additional 25% to 40% tax after effect ion of levy tax system. The price of goods which are  being  transported from Andhra Pradesh to Telangana will also increase.

Telugu Desam Party and  Public are strongly opposing the Telangana government’s move Entry Tax for AP Vehicles. Responding to Issue, Governor  Narasimhan said he will talk about  the issue  after getting the full information about imposition of  tax system. Earlier, AP Transport  Minister Siddi Raghava Rao planned to held  a meeting with commissioner M Mahender reddy, But Mahender Reddy declined for discussions. AP travel and transport management are  planning to  approach  the court against Entry Tax for AP Vehicles.

Telangana government will generate a lot of revnue through the tax. But  the prices of commodities and daily necessities will increase putting financial burden on people” said N.Balasubramanyam, transport commissioner of AP.

YSRCP chief Y.S.Jagan is opposing the decision taken by Telangana government on Entry Tax for AP Vehicles.

But telangana  Government is in no mood to step back on the issue and is  all  set to the impose the  tax  system.
