Vijayawada: A freelancer P Srimannarayana has filed a special leave petition in the Supreme Court stating that building a capital at Thulluru is not advisable as it would come under the seismic zone and pose threat to environment. The Supreme Court posted the petition for hearing on Friday.
Speaking to mediapersons here on Wednesday, Srimannarayana said the government had taken unilateral decision to build the capital with high rise buildings at Thulluru without taking into consideration the opinion of experts. He said the Thulluru region would not be suitable for the capital with high-rise buildings as water table would be more and black cotton soil was not suitable for constructing such buildings.
