VISAKHAPATNAM:With the secondary School Certificate (SSC) Exams all set to begin on March 26, School Education principal secretary Sisodia, commissioner Sandhyarani and director of examinations Surendra Reddy reviewed the arrangements with all district collectors through video conferencing, Wednesday.
Revealing the arrangements for the smooth conduct of the exams, additional joint collector DV Reddy said that 13 flying squads and 28 sitting squads will monitor the exams in sensitive areas. Tight security will be maintained at all the exam centres and section 144 would be enforced, he said.
They officials reviewed district-wise arrangements for the exams beginning March 26 and gave necessary directions to the officials. According to the authorities, 62,661 candidates would take the exam at 262 centres in Visakhapatnam district. All facilities would be provided at the centres to avoid any inconvenience to the candidates.
Besides tables, desks and potable water, arrangement was made for uninterrupted electricity supply, Reddy announced. Arrangements were also made to ply ample number of city buses to the exam centres. District education officer MV Krishna Reddy, deputy education officer Renuka and other officials took part in the video conference.
