Rajamahendravaram: GIET School of Pharmacy conducted an awareness camp on Corona Virus at the Mandal Parishad Primary School in Diwancheruvu on Monday. About 200 students of the school participated in the programme enthusiastically to enhance their knowledge about the dreaded virus which has become a pandemic all over the world, crippling the national economies and health of several countries. Many countries have declared a complete lockdown and schools in 33 states of the USA have been closed.
In Andhra Pradesh and and Telangana State, all educational institutions have been closed,
School of Pharmacy Principal M D Dhanaraj and school headmistress CH Suneetha briefed the students as to how to avoid spreading of Corona. They asked the students to maintain cleanliness and wash hands frequently.
Dhanaraj said that the government was initiating many steps to combat Corina which was creating panic among people.
Pharmacy School NSS coordinator Sheikh Meera and others were present on the occasion.
