CM Jagan Mohan Reddy to open first Disha police station in Rajamahendravaram today

VIJAYAWADA/KAKINADA: All set for the inauguration of the first-ever Disha police station in Rajamahendravaram by Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy on Saturday.  At 10:30 p.m, the CM will inaugurate the police station, one of the two such police stations in East Godavari district. The second one will come up at Kakinada. After interacting with officials concerned, the Chief Minister will address the Disha workshop and police officials of all the 18 Disha police stations being set up across the State.

According to DGP  Gautam Sawang,  police officials of different cadres will be appointed at every Disha police station. Special labs and separate public prosecutors will also be appointed for trial of cases. Special training will be given on how to deal with cases of violence against women.

In addition, Disha App, which helps women and girls in distress reach the police, will be launched by the CM.
