Raashi rules with back-to-back films

Following back-to-back hits, the poignant beauty of Telugu cinema, Raashi Khanna is nowadays shuttling between schedules of different films. With directors making her their first choice, she is now dealing with hectic schedules playing characters in multiple shades, besides movie promotions.

Speaking about her upcoming release, Prathi Roju Pandage which is all set to hit the screens on Friday — exactly a week after Venky Mama, Raashi Khanna said the role made her feel “very natural and lively as a girl from Rajahmundry”.

“Director Maruthi garu knows the pulse of the audience in and can etch the heroine’s role perfectly well. I thoroughly enjoyed the film because of him. Adding a trendy habit to the heroine, he turns her into a new-age girl. You hardly find girls these days who aren’t indulged in TikTok. So, the girl in the film is no exception which makes my role very interesting,” shares Raashi.

However, she’s “personally not very comfortable with TikTok”. “I was quite uncomfortable with it. It’s become more like a menace in the society. Some are desperately attempting to become popular and gain celebrity status. Of course, there are few who are successful in earning money through it. The most unpleasant thing about it is that some are dying too.

But, thankfully, I do not have anybody like that in my friend’s circle. After I was narrated the story and my role, I had to download TikTok for practising,” she says.Talking about her combination with Sai Dharma Tej, she heaped appreciation on him for his humble nature and preference for a good film. “He never worries about who has more importance in the film — the heroine or the hero. He thinks that one should lift the film. His nature has really comforted me in sharing the screen with him,” she concluded.
