Centre has big plans to develop twin Godavari districts, says Veerraju

Rajamahendravaram: BJP MLC Somu Veerraju said that the party would capture power in the state by getting majority in 2024 Assembly elections. The party welcomes any one who were interested in BJP's ideology, he added.

Speaking to reporters at a resorts here on Tuesday, Veerraju said there was no wrong in BJP's intention to establish its governments in all states for the overall development of the country.

He said the BJP government will develop twin Godavari districts with the help of Oil and Natural Gas Corporation (ONGC) and other oil majors which were exploring oil and gas in Krishna-Godavari Basin for many years.

"The Central government has already decided to develop the two districts at an estimated cost of Rs 5 lakh crore by developing petro-chemical corridor, ports, unit of Dredging Corporation of India, etc., Buckingham canal also will be revived as part of the development and the BJP government is very keen to develop the state," he said.

Veerraju said that TDP national president N Chandrababu Naidu had changed tack by praising Prime Minister Narendra Modi after abusing him earlier. Stating that Chief Minister Y S Jagan Mohan Reddy had given clarity on capital Amaravati by asking APCRDA officials to distribute plots to land pooling scheme farmers and complete ongoing works in a review on November 25, the BJP MLC urged the Chief Minister to take up works with transparency.
