Rajamahendravaram: As per the directions of the government, Vigilance and Enforcement department is checking all ESI dispensaries in the district, under the aegis of its superintendent of police Ravi Prakash. The officials have been mainly checking the purchase of medicines, its consumption, staff attendance, functioning of biometric system along with misuse of funds.
The officials checked ESI hospital in the city and its dispensaries located in Sitampeta, Kadiyam, Dowleswaram of Rajamahendravaram division and Sarpavaram, Sambamurthi Nagar in Kakinada and in Samalkota dispensaries of Kakinada division.
The officials identified that there are no facilities for bandage to the injured and only tests are available to confirm diabetes and typhoid. Vigilance and Enforcement superintendent Ravi Prakash will submit a report to the government shortly.
