Rajamahendravaram: A dengue awareness rally was organised by the NSS volunteers of GIET School of Pharmacy in old Velugubanda village here on Friday. As many as 800 were benefitted and medicines were distributed to them freely and 45 NSS volunteers participated in the programme.
Participating in the programme school Vice-principal Dr S Ramachandran community health officer Dr CH Krupabayamma has said the programme was aimed at creating awareness among the people on dengue fever for which the people were expressing concern.
They underlined the need to maintain cleanliness in their localities to avoid Dengue diseases and congratulated the NSS unit for planning the programme. School NSS programme officer Sheik Meera and panchayat secretary Subramanyam and others were present.
