Eight cities to hold APSET tomorrow

Visakhapatnam: Andhra University vice-chancellor Prof PVGD Prasad Reddy on Friday said all arrangements have been made for the Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test (APSET) on October 20. Addressing the media in the varsity, Prof Reddy said that paper I will be held from 9.30 to 10.30 am and paper II from 11 am to 1 pm. “A total of 34,000 candidates applied for APSET. The examination will be held in eight regional centres, namely Visakhapatnam, Rajahmundry, Guntur, Nellore, Anantapur, Tirupati, Kadapa and Kurnool, and for 30 subjects. APSET is conducted for recruitment and promotions of lecturers/assistant professors in degree colleges,” said Prof Reddy.
“The preliminary key will be placed on the APSET website on October 22 and candidates can raise their objections or send in their queries till the evening of October 24 by emailing msapset@gmail.com. The final results will be released in a month after the conduct of the exam with the approval of the UGC,” said Prof Reddy
APSET member secretary Prof K Srinivasa Rao said life sciences had received the highest number of applications at 4,699. “The candidates should reach the examination centre at least one hour before the commencement of the exam. I request the candidates to appear for the exam in a stress-free manner and give their best,” said Prof Srinivasa Rao.
