Dr Ambedkar Fellowship Award for Raja Yona

Rajamahendravaram: Philanthropic Society founder Addanki Raja Yona received Dr BR Ambekdar National Fellowship award which is given to the persons who rendered services in the fields of social and culture activities, on the eve of `Triratna’ Buddha Vihar 11th anniversary celebrations, led by former Minister Gollapalli Surya Rao.

Deputy Chairman of Legislative Council Reddy Subrahmanyam presented the award at a function held at Ravulapalem. Speaking on the occasion, Addanki expressed his happiness for recognizing his services in protecting Indian culture and traditions over the past two decades.

He said that Buddhism, once upon a time was extremely popular in Andhra Pradesh He said that he would continue to participate in such type of activities with more responsibility. It said that it was a great honour for him to receive the Dr Ambedkar Fellowship Award.

Andhra Pradesh Sahitya Academy member Kathimanda Prathap, eminent social activist Pattapagalu Venkata Rao, K Bhima Rao, Dr Gubbala Rambabu, Bommuru former Sarpanch Maddipati Sambhaji Rao and others were present. They eulogized the services rendered by Addanki Raja Yona and said that he richly deserved the Ambedkar Award.
