Rajamahendravaram: State-Level Bankers Committee (SLBC) convenor K V Nancharaiah has said that the banks will play crucial role in strengthening the economy of country and also for its overall development.
Participating in a loan mela organised under the directions of the Union government held at Sri Venkateswara Anam Kala Kendram here on Thursday, he said the banks were giving loans to entrepreneurs to encourage them to launch new industries and also encouraging unemployed youth under various self-employment schemes to stand on their feet.
He appealed to beneficiaries to repay the loan amounts as per schedule to give them loans again and it helps to sanction new loans. He added the banks were always working for country as well as for the people and any one can approach any bank for loans and get details.
SBI Deputy General Manager S Giridhar, Canara Bank General Manager Prasad Rao, Bank of Baroda Regional Manager Sailendra Singh, Syndicate Bank Regional Manager T V Krishna Mohan, Indian Overseas Bank senior managers P Sujatha, Vicci Kumar, District Co-operative Central Bank CEO M Dharma Rao and lead bank manager M Shunmukha Rao were present.
