Visakha: Railway Minister Suresh Channabasappa Angadi officially inaugurated the double-decker AC train from Vishakha to Vijayawada on Thursday. At 11:30 am, He hoisted a green flag to the train on platform 1. It runs as a one-day special express on Thursday while regular trains will run five days a week (except Sunday and Thursday) from Friday. The Udaya train has many specialities and is priced 525 from Vishakha to Vijayawada. The event was attended by MPs MVV Satyanarayana, Gothedi Madhavi, GVL Narsimha Rao and Raghuramakrishnan Raju.
The Udaya double-decker train, which runs with a total of 9 AC coaches, will arrive in Vijayawada in 5 hours from Visakha. The train will run from Visakha to Vijayawada as a train number 22701/22702 for 5 days. All coaches are equipped with disc brakes and the Failure Indication braking System is fully equipped.
Uday Express Halts
Uday double-decker stops at Ranu, Ponu Duvwada, Anakapalli, Tuni, Sumalakota, Rajahmundry, Tadeepalligudem and Eluru. The train operates with 9 AC double-Decker coaches and 2-motor power cars.
