Flagship Uday Exp to run from Vij on Sept 26

Vijayawada: The railway ministry has approved the introduction of the Visakhapatnam-Vijayawada Utkrisht Double Decker Air Conditioned Yatri (Uday) Express from September 26.
Railway officials said the inaugural train number would be different from the regular service. Train number 02701 would start from Visakhapatnam station at 11.30am. In return, it will run as train number 02702 Vijayawada-Visakhapatnam special train to open fast timings.
The regular services of the pairing trains (number 22701/22702) Visakhapatnam-Vijayawada-Visakhapatnam Uday Express will commence from September 27. Visakhapatnam-Vijayawada Uday Express will leave Visakhapatnam at 05:45hrs from September 27
The Uday service will run five days a week except on Thursdays and Sundays. In the return direction, train no. 22702 Vijayawada-Visakhapatnam Uday Express will leave Vijayawada at 17:30hrs on the same day. Enroute, these trains will stop at Duvvada, Anakapalli, Tuni, Samalkot Jn, Rajahmundry, Tadepalligudem and Eluru stations in both directions.
