Dy CM Nani reviews flood situation in Rajamahendravaram

Rajamahendravaram: Deputy Chief Minister and district in-charge Minister Alla Kali Krishna Srinivas (Nani) reviewed the flood situation in East and West Godavari districts with the officials at Roads and Buildings office here on Tuesday.

Later, addressing the officials he said Chief Minister YS Jagan Mohan Reddy is very much particular to provide necessary help to the flood victims and shift them to safer places. He directed the Collectors of two districts to take care of the flood victims mainly in agency area in all aspects.

East Godavari Collector D Muralidhar Reddy said several relief camps were arranged in Devipatnam mandal to the tribals who were shifted to relief camps as flood water surged into their habitations. Onions, potatoes, etc, are being distributed to them along with other materials. Medical camps are also being conducted for them.

West Godavari District Collector R Muthyala Raju said because of the floods, water overflowed and spread on the roads in tribal habitations but not into their houses. One special officer was appointed to each tribal habitation.
