APWC chief recalls philanthropist Medapati’s services

Rajamahendravaram: Andhra Pradesh Women Commission Chairperson Vasireddy Padma has said that the services rendered by noted contractor and philanthropist Medapati Sitarama Reddy to the city cannot be forgotten.

Until his last breath, Sitarama Reddy strived for the development of the historical city. Though he was busy as class one contractor, he never neglected the development of the city and made all out efforts in this regard. She said that the present day philanthropists and contractors should follow in the footsteps of Medapati in participating in social services and philanthropic activities.

Earlier, Padma, along with husband Wesley, had breakfast hosted by former corporator Medapati Sharmila Reddy at her residence. Sharmila and husband Anil Reddy welcomed Padma at their house.
