Rajamahendravaram: Lions Club-316B district governor Lion SVV Satyanarayana has said that the swearing-in ceremony of district cabinet will be held in the city on July 21st in the presence of many personalities of Lions Club.
Speaking to the reporters at Press Club here on Friday, he said he is the third person elected to the coveted post and took oath at Milan city in Italy recently. About 750 delegates along with former international directors Chigurupati Vara Prasad, V Vijaya Kumar Raju, former APIIC chairman S Sivarama Subramanyam and many others will participate in the programme.
During the one year tenure of 2019-2020, many activities will be taken up relating to five problems as per the call given by Lions International, he averred. As part of the programme, awareness drive on diabetes will be organised and treatment will also be given to 50,000 needy, one lakh saplings also be planted as part of environment protection, feed the hunger programme for 50,000 people, cataract surgeries to 1,000 persons along with free distribution of 2,500 glasses and a massive awareness camp also be conducted on childhood cancer in the schools across the district.
All these will be executed in 2019-2020 and an action plan was devised in this regard. Lions Clubs are in forefront in extending services to the needy in society. Lions Dr Badam Bala Krishna, Gubbala Rambabu, Ravi Kumar and others were present.
