Honeymoon period over: BJP’s Ram Madhav lashes out at Jagan Mohan Reddy government

While launching a mega membership drive in East Godavari district of Andhra Pradesh on Wednesday, BJP national general secretary Ram Madhav lashed out at the YS Jagan Mohan Reddy government and termed it a different side of the same coin while comparing it with the TDP.

Addressing a gathering at P Gannavaram, the BJP top brass said, “TDP and YSRCP both are the same in terms of governance. The state appears to have fallen from the frying pan into the fire.”

Ram Madhav, who is also a Telugu, added the Telugu Desam Party (TDP) is the past, YSR Congress Party (YSRCP) is the present but the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) is the future of Andhra Pradesh.

The saffron party is eying to emerge as the principal opposition in the state with several leaders including four Rajya Sabha MPs of the TDP joining the BJP.

BJP Andhra Pradesh co in-charge Sunil Deodhar, who interestingly worked shoulder to shoulder with Ram Madhav and secured a saffron surge in the Northeast, has already revealed that 18 MLAs and more than 20 MLCs of the TDP are in touch with the BJP and are willing to join the party.
