Rajamahendravaram: CREDAI State Advisory Committee chairman Buddiga Srinivas has advised the government not to stop the supply of sand as the construction field as well as the people will incur losses. Speaking to reporters at Press Club here on Thursday, he advised the government to prevent lapses in sand supply through an App and arrange check-posts at state borders to stop the sand transportation to other states.
Construction activity is rampant during summer season and there will be no sand for three months during the rainy season. If the government stops sand supply, there is scope for an artificial sand scarcity.
He also advised the government to arrange closed circuit cameras at the sand ramps and electronic gates at sand stores which should be connected to central command room to monitor sand transportation.
A special App also needed for booking sand which helps to prevent irregularities in sand digging and transportation, he said. The sand is transported to Hyderabad, Chennai, Bangalore and Orissa states. CREDAI members N Srinivas, SS Kumar, V Bhim Shakar, KS Reddy, P Srinivas and others were present.
