Rajahmundry: In a tragic case, a man who was travelling pillion rider on a moped to distribute wedding cards of his son to his relatives was killed while the rider suffered minor injuries when their vehicle was hit by a milk container at Jangareddygudem in West Godavari on Tuesday.
According to police, Thammisetti Madhusudhana Rao, 50, hailing from Koyyalagudem arrived to Koyyalagudem and distributed wedding cards to his kin and friends and was proceeding to Eluru on a moped while his kin K.M.V. Satyanarayana alias Nani was riding it.
As they were proceeding on the moped, a milk container rammed it from rear side and under its impact, his bike fell under the wheels of a truck and autorickshaw resulting in severe head injury and broken limbs to Rao.
He was shifted to local area hospital where he succumbed to injuries while taking medical treatment.
Satyanarayana is taking treatment for minor injuries Police booked a case and investigation is on.
