Filmmakers have planned to conduct only two major events from this year. One will take place in Telangana while the other one is in Andhra Pradesh. In the past, however, stars like Ram Charan, Allu Arjun, and several others, have organised events in Vizag, Amravati, and even Rajahmundry.
This time, though, it looks like filmmakers want to restrict the major events to Hyderabad only.
“Both Assembly and Parliamentary elections were held in Andhra Pradesh, and the election authorities are safekeeping the Electronic Voting Machines in cities like Vizag, Vijayawada, and other major centres. Therefore, until May 23, which is when election results will be declared, the cops have forbidden filmmakers from conducting major film events,” said a source in the know.
Although Mahesh Babu is planning an event for his upcoming film in Vizag, the team seems quite concerned about the security. A large number of security personnel has been deployed to guard the EVMs in strong rooms, so if anything were to go wrong at the event, it could cause some amount of trouble. They have therefore been advised to conduct the event only after May 23.
