Santragachi-Chennai Weekly express from June 6

Visakhapatnam: The Railways will introduce a new weekly Antyodaya Express between Santragachi-Chennai Central stations.

The Regular services will commence from Santragachi o­n every Monday with effect from June 6, 2018 and from Chennai Central on every Wednesday with effect from June 11. The inaugural service will commence o­n June 4 from Howrah to Chennai Central as special train with Train No.02841.

On the inaugural day the train will leave Howrah on June 4 at 15.00hrs to pass through Visakhapatnam on the next day (05.06.2018) at 04.20hrs and reach Chennai Central at 19.10hrs.

The special inaugural will have stoppages at Santragachi Junction, Kharagpur Junction, Balasore, Bhadrak , Jajpur Keonjhar Road, Cuttack Junction, Bhubaneswar, Khurda Road Junction, Balugaon, Chatrapur, Brahmapur, Sompeta, Palasa,Srikakulam Road, Vizianagaram Junction, Visakhapatnam Junction, Duvvada, Anakapalle, Samalkot Junction, Rajahmundry, Eluru, Vijayawada Junction, Chirala, Ongole, Nellore, Gudur Junction, Sullurupeta and Chennai Central

The train comprises of 16 Second class LHB coaches

Regular Services:: The train No.22841 Santragachi-Chennai Central Antyodaya weekly express will leave Santragachi every Monday at 19.00hrs to reach Visakhapatnam on the next day (Tuesdays) at 07.55hrs. It will again leave Vizag at 08.20hrs to reach Chennai Central on Tuesday at 22.45hrs In the return direction the train No. 22842 Chennai Central –Santragachi Antyodaya weekly express will leave Chennai Central on every Wednesday at 08.10hrs and pass through Visakhapatnam at 20.35hrs to reach Santragachi on Thursday at 10.25hrs.
Stoppages: Kharagpur Junction, Balasore, Bhadrak , Jajpur Keonjhar Road, Cuttack Junction, Bhubaneswar, Khurda Road Junction, Balugaon, Chatrapur, Brahmapur, Sompeta, Palasa,Srikakulam Road, Vizianagaram Junction, Visakhapatnam Junction, Duvvada, Anakapalle, Samalkot Junction, Rajahmundry, Eluru, Vijayawada Junction, Chirala, Ongole, Nellore, Gudur Junction
Composition: 16 LHB Second Class Coaches and Two Brake, Luggage cum generator cars.
