Two techies killed as car rams into lorry in Vijayawada

VIJAYAWADA: Two were killed when a car rammed into a lorry near Gannavaram bus stand on Sunday.
According to Gannavaram police, A Pawan Kumar, a resident of Tarnaka in Hyderabad, was in a Maruti 800, along with his friends B Vinay Kumar and T Sai Kumar. The three were going to Rajamahendravaram to attend a private function.

Pawan Kumar, who was driving the car, could not notice the lorry before him and collided. He and Vinay Kumar succumbed to their injuries on the spot.

“The car driver could not notice the parked lorry and rammed into it from the backside. A case was registered against the incident and bodies were handed over to the family members after postmortem,” the police said.

However, Sai Kumar had a narrow escape and only incurred minor injuries.
Sai Kumar and Vinay Kumar were also from Hyderabad. The three victims were IT professionals.
Upon noticing the accident, locals called the 108 ambulance service and rushed them to a nearby hospital, where doctors pronounced Pawan and Vinay brought dead.
