Hyderabad: A total of 11,432 candidates have appeared for the Dr. B R Ambedkar Open University (BRAOU) Eligibility Test (ET) in about 156 test centres in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh.
This year, about 214 jail inmates including six women prisoners from various central prisons in Telangana and Andhra Pradesh took the examination. From Central Prison Cherlapally, 40 prisoners attended the test, 39 from Warangal, 76 from Rajahmundry, 23 from Nellore and 36 from Kadapa.
Prof K Seetharama Rao, Vice Chancellor, BRAOU and Prof C.Venkataiah, Registrar, Dr G Laxma Reddy and other officials of the university visited the examination centres in Mahabubnagar district.Candidates who clear the ET will be given admission into B.A/B.COM/B.Sc. courses for the academic year 2018-19 at BRAOU.
