Inter results: Visakhapatnam district sixth in Andhra Pradesh

VISAKHAPATNAM: As many as 74% of the students, who appeared for the annual intermediate examinations from Visakhapatnam, has cleared them. Human resource development minister Ganta Srinivasa Rao released the results on Thursday in Rajahmundry.
About 45,782 students from Visakhapatnam district appeared for the examinations and about 33,662 cleared it. Girls (76%) outperformed boys (71%).
Based on its pass percentage, Visakhapatnam stood sixth in the state. Krishna district came in first with 84%. Besides, Visakhapatnam scored the least pass percent – 47% – in the state among government junior colleges.
P Bhavani, a student from Narayan Junior College of the city, has got 990 marks out of 1000 marks, followed by P Bharat Kumar (987), K Lohita (986), K Khalidha (986) from the same group of institutions. On the other hand Rongali Satya Sai Sri Kiranmayee, Ampolu Prathyusha, Kotha Sai Kiran and Thota Divyasri Kanaka Mahalakshmi of Sri Chaitanya Educational Institutions of the city got 989 marks out of 1000 marks, followed by Kundrapu Bharathi (988), Preethi Bisoi (988), Sappa Uma (988), Yalakala Praneetha (988), Undela Sahithi (988), Nimisha Thammana (987), Teella Hari Priya (987), Dasari Yashwanthi (987), Pabbu Surya Ganesh (987), Kakileti Mercy Theophila (987), Appana Swathi (987) and Chilukuri Sreeja from the same group of institutions.
