Ananda Babu, Jawahar lash out at Governor

Minister for Social and Tribal Welfare Nakka Ananda Babu on Sunday accused Governor E.S.L. Narasimhan of deviating from his duties which purportedly helped some parties in establishing cordial relations in the current scenario.

At a meeting in Guntur, he said Mr. Narasimhan’s conduct had been controversial from the beginning and he allegedly submitted false reports on the capital city and the Polavaram project to the Central government.

In Rajamahendravaram, Minister for Excise K.S. Jawahar lashed out at the Governor accusing him of partiality and connivance with the Pawan Kalyan-led Jana Sena party. He told reporters that the Governor was acting as an agent of the Central government and was conspiring with the Jana Sena and the BJP against the State government. He alleged that he had not hosted high tea for Ministers and MLAs in Amaravati on the Republic Day but toured Vijayawada and Tirupati frequently on pilgrimage. He said Mr. Narasimhan was emulating former Governors Ramlal, Kumed Ben Joshi and ND Tiwari and would face the same fate. He demanded that the Centre should take immediate steps to replace him and give separate Governor for Andhra Pradesh.
