BJP BC leader quits in protest of ‘betrayal’
Rajamahendravaram: BJP Media Cell in-charge and BC leader Dasyam Prasad has resigned to his post in protest against 'betrayal' of the party to the people of the State by neglecting it in the recent Union Budget.
Addressing a press conference here on Friday, Dasyam said that he had a good rapport with the local BJP leaders but at the same time he was unable to digest the injustice meted out to the people of Andhra Pradesh. He alleged that Prime Minister Modi and Vice-President Venkaiah Naidu had said that they would build a capital far better than Hyderabad. He regretted that the BJP leaders had now been paying a deaf ear to the demands of the AP state. He said that people had been asking him about the injustice to AP.

The BC leader said that people of AP believed the BJP at the time of bifurcation. However, after coming to power, the BJP showed its real face by denying Special Category Status to AP, he added. He warned the BJP that people would teach a fitting lesson if the party did not change its policy on AP. Matta Siva, B Syam, Srinu, P Dhana Trinadh, B Prasad, M Ganesh and others were present.
