Special thrust on development of agency areas: Dy CM

Andhra Pradesh Deputy Chief Minister and Minister for Home Nimmakayala Chinarajappa has said that the government was giving a major thrust to accelerated development of agency villages by improving the infrastructure such as roads network, medical and education facilities.

Participating as the chief guest in a series of gram sabhas as a part of the second day of Janmabhoomi-Maa Vooru programme in the newly merged agency mandals on Wednesday, he said top priority was being given for providing necessary medical care to the tribals by deploying medical and para medical staff for conducting medical camps.

He advised the people of the agency areas to make best use of the welfare schemes initiated and medical facilities being provided by the government.

Mr Chinarajappa along with Rampachodavaram MLA Vanthala Rajesweri and district Collector Kartikeya Mishra has participated in the Janmabhoomi gram sabhas at Chintoor, Nellipaka and Pothulagunta in Chintur, Etapaka and Kunavaram mandals of Etapaka ITDA area. Gram sabhas were also organised at various places in the district on the second day with the elected peoples representatives participating and explaining the people on various welfare schemes and developmental works initiated by the government and also on the redressel of grievances.

While Reddi Subrahmanyam deputy chairman AP Legislative Council attended Grama Sabha at Vaddesweram village in Ravulapalem mandal, Rajahmundry rural MLA Gorantla Buchaiah Choudary attended the Grama Sabha at Katheru village. Jyothula Nehru participated in Thalluru village.UNI XC VV SDR SHK 2053
