Divisional Railway Manager (DRM) R. Dhananjayulu praised Railway Protection Force (RPF) head constable M. Satyanarayana, who restored a lost handbag containing valuables to a passenger.
Ms. Bhagavathula Padmaja of Medak district in Telangana boarded a train in Bhubaneswar and got down in Visakhapatnam on January 22. She forgot her handbag containing gold ornaments, a mobile phone and some cash, altogether worth ₹2.37 lakh in the train. Sometime later she approached the RPF personnel, who alerted their Rajahmundry counterparts.
