MUMBAI: Low-cost carrier IndiGo added Rajahmundry to its regional network with ATR operations which were launched on Tuesday.
“Rajahmundry will be connected to Hyderabad with twice daily frequencies, and one direct daily frequency each on Rajahmundry-Bangalore-Rajahmundry and Rajahmundry-Chennai-Rajahmundry sectors,” said a press release issued by the airline. Currently, IndiGo is the only airline that connects Rajahmundry with direct flights to Chennai, Bangalore and Hyderabad from day one of its operations. But this isn’t the first time that Rajahmundry has been air connected with commercial airline flights. India’s first low-cost airline was the first carrier to launch flights to Rajahmundry.
