Eluru, Jan 26 (UNI) In a ghastly road accident, five persons were killed, four of them belonged one family, when a speeding cement laden lorry collided with APS RTC bus near Ananthapalli Yerrakaluvu Nallajarla mandal in West Godvari district on Friday.
Police said that the ill-fated APS RTC bus, belonged to Kovvuru depot, going to Eluru from Rajahmundry when the accident took place. A speeding cement laden lorry collided with bus killing Gelam Lakshmi (50), Kapulashetti Jyothi (37), K Akhila Satya (12), K Shiva Sai (14) and Palla Savitramma (60).
Lakshmi, her daughter Jyothi, grandson Shiva Sai and granddaughter Akhila Satya died in the accident. They boarded the bus at Nidadavole to go to Eluru. Another deceased Savitramma belonged to Odisha state. Under the impact of the collision one side of the bus was blown off.
