Special trains to tackle festive rush

VISAKHAPATNAM: The railways has decided to operate special train services between Tirupati and Visakhapatnam, Guntur and Visakhapatnam in order to clear extra passenger rush.
They are already operating special trains for the past few weeks in view of the festival season, but most of the trains ply via Vijayawada.

According to an official release here on Tuesday, the 07044 Tirupati-Visakhapatnam special train will leave Tirupati at 4.45pm on December 30 (Saturday) and arrive at Visakhapatnam at 7.50am the next day.

En route, the special train will stop at Renigunta, Nellore, Ongole, Vijayawada, Eluru, Tadepalligudem, Rajahmundry, Samalkot and Anakapalli stations.
The 07239 Visakhapatnam-Guntur special train will leave Visakhapatnam at 10.50pm on December 31 (Sunday) and arrive at Guntur at 6.15am the next day.
En route, the train will stop at Anakapalli, Samalkot, Rajahmundry, Tadepalligudem, Eluru and Vijayawada stations.
Both the trains will have AC 2 tier, AC 3 tier, sleeper class, and general class coaches in composition.
