Premam and Fidaa fame Sai Pallavi is now coming up to entertain the audiences with her upcoming bilingual Telugu-Tamil movie Kanam/Karu, which is scheduled to hit the theaters on 9th February. Naga Shourya is playing the lead role. It is directed by AL Vijay and produced by Lyca Production. Sai Pallavi will be seen playing the role of a mother of a 4-year-old girl in the movie. The upcoming venture is said to be based on the sensitive issue of abortion. Sai Pallavi’s Karu/Kanam will compete with three other movies like Tholi Prema, Kirrak Party and Gayatri, which are also arriving on the same day i.e 9th February.
Tholi Prema starring Varun Tej and Raashi Khanna, directed by debutant Venky Atluri and produced by B. V. S. N. Prasad under his banner Sri Venkateswara Cine Chitra. The shooting of the film is currently going on at full speed as the filmmakers plan to wrap up the production by the end of this year
Nikhil, Samyukta Hegde and Simran Pareenja starrer Kirrak Party, the remake of Kannada film Kirrak Party, directed by Sharan Koppisetty and produced by AK Entertainments, is on the verge of completion. It is heard that currently the makers are canning several crucial scenes at Rajahmundry with which majority of the film’s talkie part will be wrapped up.
