Indigo Airlines to run Flights to Vijayawada from Metro Cities

IndiGo Airlines has decided to operate its flights from next year to Vijayawada. The IndiGo Airlines will operate daily direct operations connecting Vijayawada Bangalore Mangalore. Also, the operations are expected to start from Rajahmundry and Tirupati in the month of January from next year.

Indigo has been on the go for a long time and is been the ‘talk of the town’ from the time it has reached 1000 flights a day recently.

The operations to Vijayawada would start from March 2, next year making it the 50th destination on its network. The airline would operate the direct operations which would again connect Vijayawada to Bangalore, Hyderabad and Chennai.

The IndiGo’s ATR operations last week announced its brand new ATR 72-600 connecting the said cities, Hyderabad and Mangalore.

It is stated by the Airline that “IndiGo will operate daily direct operations connecting Vijayawada to Bengaluru, Hyderabad and Chennai.”

It has 150 Airbus A320 family aircraft and 1 ATR 72-600 in its fleet. Aditya Ghosh, the airline’s president and whole-time director, Aditya Ghosh, said in a statement, “With more ATRs joining our fleet in the months to come, we are much closer to realizing the dream of the common man”. He added, “The IndiGo network will expand not only to provide connectivity between these smaller cities, but our strong network of domestic and international markets will also open up immense connectivity to and fro for these smaller markets.”

It is expected that by December 2019, the IndiGo Airlines, along with its 21 ATRs, would connect 15 tier-II and tier-III new cities on its network.

IndiGo’s chief commercial officer Sanjay Kumar has stated that there would be four new domestic flights from Hyderabad, that include an additional Hyderabad–Lucknow– Hyderabad flight, a new Hyderabad–Ranchi–Hyderabad flight, an additional Hyderabad–Jaipur flight and a new Hyderabad–Jammu via Jaipur flight.

The airline also is expected to add seven ATR flights by March 2018 and 21 ATR planes to its fleet by December 2018.
