Rajamahendravaram, Dec,9 (PTI) Four persons, including two women, died when an autorickshaw they were travelling in was ht by a truck.
Police said that the deceased were part of a a group of 12 persons, all of the same family, who were travelling in the autorickshaw after boarding it at Bendapudi and Tondangi villages.
The incident happened on the national highway near Kathipudi here today, police said.
Inspector Adanki Srinivas Rao of the Prathipadu police station, two persons died on the spot whereas two died during treatment in hospital.
The injured have been admitted to hospitals in Tuni and Kakinada, he said.
A case has been registered, he said, and further investigations were on. PTI CORR BNM
