Andhra Pradesh: Axle rod breaks; bus lands in slush, none hurt

Rajahmundry: A school bus carrying 30 students and teachers swerved from the road into a paddy field and got stuck in the slushy ground at Pandalapaka village of Biccavole mandal in East Godavari in the early hours on Wednesday. According to Biccavole police, the school bus belonged to Gamyam Public School located at Gollala Mamidada village and was proceeding to the village after collecting students and teachers at Pandalapaka.

While on its way, its axle rod broke and the bus got pulled towards the right side. It went off the road and into the agriculture fields located three to four feet below. The front wheels of the bus got stuck in the slushy mud and the bus came to a halt. No student or teacher or the bus crew suffered any major injury. The school authorities arranged an alternate bus to transport them to the school.  No case is registered with no complaint so far.
