Rajahmundry mayor Pantham Rajani Sesha Sai upset over protocol breach

Rajahmundry: Rajahmundry mayor Pantham Rajani Sesha Sai was upset over protocol issues at the foundation stone ceremony of Acharya N.G. Ranga Agricultural University College at Katheru village on Sunday. Being first citizen of Rajahmundry, her name was not inscribed on the plaque unveiled on the occasion. Piqued by this she brought the issue to the notice of agriculture minister Somireddy Chandramohan Reddy, who laid foundation stone for the University.

She also brought the issue to the notice of the Kakinada rural MLA Gorantla Buchaiah Chowdary, who presided over the meeting. Sources said that Mr Chowdary chided her for reacting in an overt manner about a petty issue. She burst into tears while leaving the function. Later, Ms Sai asked University officials for explanation which they could not give. Pointing that Mr Chowdary is reprimanding her frequently over protocol issues, she said that it was not her personal issue as it is a matter for four lakh people in the city.
