Ganja racket busted

The Secunderabad unit of the Government Railway Police busted an inter-State ganja smuggling racket and arrested three persons at the Secunderabad Railway station on Saturday. Police also seized 50 kg of dry ganja worth Rs. 7.5 lakh in the grey market.

The accused were identified as Sachin Pandey (32) from Delhi, Danni Darmender Singh (32) and Subodh Singh (26), both natives of Uttar Pradesh.

“We suspected two persons carrying two bags and upon inspection found 10 packets of dry ganja, which was being transported to Delhi from Rajahmundry via Hyderabad,” the police said. Darmender Singh and Subodh Singh reached Secunderabad railway station by Godavari Express from Rajahmundry and Pandey came to the Secunderabad railway station by Telangana express to pick both of them up and then smuggle the ganja to Delhi.
