Govt okays transfer of Lko airport land to LMRC

Lucknow metro rail corporation needs the land to build a structure for Transport Nagar metro station

The cabinet has approved the proposal of transfer of land measuring 1,899 sq mt by airports authority of India to Lucknow Metro Rail Corportion (LMRC) at Chaudhary Charan Singh International Airport.

LMRC needs the land to build an entry/exit structure for Transport Nagar metro station. It is a public utility project of mass transportation and will provide better connectivity and convenience to general public.

Meanwhile, the cabinet has also given its approval to the swapping of 10.25 acres of AAI’s land at Rajahmundry airport with equivalent extent of land belonging to Andhra Pradesh government. It would provide road connectivity to the villages around the Rajahmundry airport.

It will provide road connectivity especially to farmers to their agricultural land.
