Kakinada: The Electricity Consumers Redressal Forum chairman and retired district Judge Dumpala Dharma Rao will organise a grievance cell for electricity consumers at Assistant Divisional Engineer, APTRANSCO office in Pithapuram on September 9. The chairperson will receive the grievances from 10 am to 1 pm on Friday. He informed consumers to submit their representations before grievance forum.
Meanwhile, the AP Eastern Power Distribution Company Limited (APEPDCL) officials conducted raids in various places like Samalkot, Mamidikuduru , Kirlampudi, Ramachandrapuram and Bikkavolu mandals in the district and inspected 1601 power services on Thursday and registered 37 cases.
They found 10 services involved in power pilferage and 27 persons were using electricity illegally. The APEPDCL superintendent engineer Y.S.S. Prasad said that criminal cases would be against wrong-doers and also impose heavy penalties on the accused.
Officials said that four operation divisional engineers, 10 assistant divisional engineers and 46 assistant engineers participated in the raids.
