APSET 2017 Results Declared: 6.9 Percent Candidates Pass

The Andhra University Visakhapatnam has declared the results for the Andhra Pradesh State Eligibility Test (APSET) 2017 which was conducted on July 30 in 31 subjects across 6 regional centres at Visakhapatnam, Rajamahendravaram (Rajamundry), Guntur, Nellore, Ananthapur and Thirupati.

Although 43,023 candidates had registered for the APSET 2017, a total of 32,282 candidates had attempted the exam out of which 2,229 candidates qualified. The pass percentage this year stood at 6.9 percent, which was an increase than the previous year. From the total applications, 4,095 were filed for Telugu, with other popular subjects including life sciences, chemical sciences and English.

"The candidates have to secure at least 40% aggregate marks (all three papers put together) for candidates belonging to General category and at least 35% aggregate marks (all three papers put together) for candidates belonging to reserved categories will be declared qualified for STEP-I stage for Eligibility for Assistant Professor/Lecturer," the results notification from APSET 2017 organisers had said.

  1. Open the official website apset.net.in
  2. Click on the APSET result link at the top of the homepage
  3. A pdf file will open showing the list of shortlisted candidate
  4. Locate your roll number and view your results
  5. Download the results and take a print out for future reference

The notification for more than 1,000 posts of professor, associate professor and assistant professor would be released by the Andhra Pradesh government by the end of the month.
