Hyderabad: Vaaradhi foundation is organising elocution and essay writing competitions for children from August 27. The competitions are aimed at making children aware of the social reality of India and make them conscious of challenges, which the country is facing right now, members of Vaaradhi Foundation said.
From August 27, the competitions will be held in Adilabad, Warangal, Kurnool, Nellore, Vijayawada, Rajahmundry, Vishakhapatnam, and Srikakulam. In the second phase, from September 3, the competitions will be held at Nizamabad, Nalgonda, Warangal, Hyderabad, and Secunderabad, “Scoring for essay writing would take into consideration clarity of thought, fluency in eloquence, depth and width of discussion, in case of elocution, brevity, clarity of expressions and group work and conclusion will carry equal points,” said president, Vaaradhi, said Dr. Mohan Kanda.
Winners of regional level will compete in the state level at Ravindra Bharathi on October 8.
