Three Town police who registered a case against Holy Angels School correspondent Kanchi Madhusudhan Rao under the SC/ST (Prevention of Atrocities) Act, have intensified efforts to arrest him at the earliest.
It was alleged that Rao beat tribal girl students with a belt and scale and abused them in the name of their caste.
Sub-Collector Vijay Krishnan inspected the hostel on Friday. As 10th class examinations are fast approaching, the tribal girl students will remain in the same hostel under special supervision.
They will be shifted to another hostel next academic year.
The students will be properly taken care of by the social welfare authorities, the Sub-Collector said.
