IPIF scholarships for 2016 announced

International Paper India Foundation (IPIF) announced scholarships to 58 students who completed Class X in 2016. Minister for HRD Ganta Srinivas Rao distributed scholarships to students, said IPIF Chairman and Managing Director Rampraveen Swaminathan here on Friday. 


Speaking on the occasion, he said that the students, who completed Class X in 2016, were selected by their academic performance. The main aim of IPIF is support meritorious students from economically weaker sections.


 The company also recognised 50 recipients for academic support under Project Saathi, an employee initiative, for supporting students of the IP APPM Model High School in Rajamahendravaram. Project Saathi is funded by contributions from employees of IP APPM.


He said: “We lay emphasis on CSR initiatives, especially education.  The IP India scholarships were instrumental in promoting the deserving students who are excelling in their career.


 As of now, we have sponsored more than 200 students. I hope our scholarship recipients continue to excel in their education and career”.
