Woman convicted for selling illicit liquor

Fifth Additional Judicial First Class Magistrate G. Rajeswari on Monday convicted a woman who was caught red-handed while selling illicitly distilled liquor in 2015. The Magistrate sentenced Ippanuri Nagamani to undergo one year imprisonment and to pay a fine of Rs. 10, 000.
N. Surjith Singh, Prohibition and Excise Superintendent, Rajamahendravaram, said that in February 2015 Nagamani was arrested with 90 litres of illicit liquor during a raid by the police at Bhaskarnagar. A case was registered against her in Rajamahendravaram North Station.
