“Harness technology to ward off global warming” – Debasis Sanyal, ED,ONGC

Rajamahendravaram: Advanced technology blended with changes in the people’s attitude towards use of petroleum products will go a long way in  fighting  gas emissions and rising global warming, said Debasis Sanyal, Executive Director( Asset Manager, Rajahmundry),ONGC here on Tuesday.

 His remarks came while inaugurating Saksham 2017( Sanrakshan Kshamta Mahotsav), formerly known as Oil and Gas Conservation Fortnight).

Delhi-based ONGC’s Energy Centre works with the goal of developing alternative sources of energy to bridge the gap between demand and supply in the country for a sustainable green future, he added.

Engaging the agriculture and industry sectors in creating mass awareness programmes will yield positive results, said Debasis Sanyal.

On this occasion, ONGC’s Rajahmundry offshore team led by Sanyal made a resolve to build awareness among people to help in cutting down wastage of petroleum products and start using clean fuel to ensure much better life on earth.

As part of energy conservation efforts, several awareness programmes are being planned in the next one month in the city colleges, schools and villages covering the operational areas of Godavari and Krishna Districts under the spirit of ‘The Indhan Sanrakshan Ki Zimmedari, Jan Gan ki Bhagidari’.
